On Tuesday 12th February 2019, Manchester Council announced a Public Consultation on a new Homeless Tax. The policy will fine people sleeping rough in doorways or tents up to £1,000. The tax is currently in a Public Consultation phase, which means you get to have your say. Manchester Lib Dem Leader, John Leech, has written the below letter opposing the policy.
